Design objective: Create a high-end beautifully designed brochure using Standard Bank’s brand elements in a unique and sophisticated way.
Challenge solved: Developed Standard Bank as a premium brand.
Exact roles and responsibilities: Creative lead on the project reporting to the ECD. Responsible for campaign being approved and a success for Standard Bank.
Dating to 1862, Standard Bank is no newcomer to the South African financial services scene, and is today’s Africa’s largest lender by assets. Working on a major bank was a refreshing experience, and opened my eyes to an entirely new target market – South Africa’s wealthiest and most elite professionals.
This project also stretched my graphic design skills, taking me back to my roots and pushing me forward in the same breath. While the initial brief involved a traditional printed presentation, which was carefully designed and lovingly put together, this was ultimately followed up with a slick and digital version.
